The 1990 rooted hair Alan sculpt got some changes and a new one was made. I believe it is the neckjoint that gave this head a new year stamp. The head sits "outside" the neck on these, probably with a hook inside the skull. Otherwise the face looks the same as the 1990 rooted Alan/Ken.
