Some of Kelly/Shelly's friends had a closed mouth, in a shy Mona
Lisa-kind-of smile, and eventually Kelly herself, got it too.
Below I have put randomly picked friends
- tried to find at least one of each friend but there are many others with
this face. Some of the dolls changed names when crossing the border - some
from start, others after a year or more. Some lost their "foreign" name and
some names were recycled.

This is a sideline, part from
the Barbie World with all colored dolls. All the adult girls are made with
the Mbili face and all the kids (kid sisters/brothers) with the closed mouth
Kelly sculpt. These kids have an elongated body, lankier, thinner with
longer arms than Kelly or even Chelsea.
