Since Barbie saw the light of day in 1959, she has changed looks many times,
mostly with rooted hairdos in a huge variety of hair colors. She has been
blonde, brunette and redheaded, but has also had pink hair, orange hair,
yellow hair among any other color of the rainbow. The original sculpt has
been reproduced and made in the Silkstone material. There are a lot of talk
that the sculpt is altered and there are subtle changes in the sculpts, from
the ponytails to the swirls and bubbles and on to the repros and silkies but
initially they are the same.
