Hi Ken! Hi Ken!

Ken was played by Ryan Gosling and the first doll we saw of the movie Ken, had a big smile, not really on par with how Ken was portrayed by Ryan. He was more grump, even though he broke a smile once in a while. The face was new to this movie and painted to resemble Ryan, but we later found out that Mattel calls this head "Ken" and it looks a bit like the molded hair playline dolls. Hence dubbed "Ken Movie" until other news pops up.
During this time Mattel had worked on a Ryan sculpt with a closed mouth, but I guess the copyright issue took time and some of the first movie Ken dolls were re-issued in 2024-2025 with the, by then OK-ed Ryan sculpt.
Also Asian Ken played by Simu Liu was under the impression of having a sculpt made in his likeness, but once again, it's just the face-up and how he is painted, birthmarks and all. That head is the LOOKS Model 17, aka Brandon.
Sugar's Daddy finally got a doll made. He had been seen severals years back in the Silkstone Palm Beach series but the doll never made it pass the prototype state, even if he had an Item number set. We saw him flash by among other never-made, discontinued or much talked-about dolls in the end of the movie (Earring Magic Ken being one of them!) and Mattel took the opportunity to make a Sugar's Daddy Ken, similar to the Silkstone prototype but of course far from that, being playline and all (even if a Club Exclusive, aka Collector doll).
